History of XTERRA

Born of the widest multi-sport in 1996
In 1996, AQUA TERRA took place in famous resort Wailea, Maui and later it became multiple-triathlon called XTERRA that is consisted of 1.5k Swim, 30k MTB, 11k Trail run. Born of the wildest multi-sport.
It takes place one week after Ironman Hawaii World Championship, the world best triathlon event.
Top tri-athletes from all over the world, come to compete the XTERRA World Championship after the Ironman.
Recently, many top mountain-bikers started racing XTERRA. Athletes from variety of sports join the XTERRA and show their wonderful performances in the field of nature.

Now XTERRA is worldeide event.
First, XTERRA started in America, then Canada, Britain, Australia, Saipan and Japan.
The race became so popular in everywhere. Now XTERRA is worldwide event.
In 2004, XTERRA Global Tour has been expanded into more than 50 races in Northern America, Europe, the Southern Hemisphere, etc..
